So...I really anticipated that I would be showing by now. I have hit my second trimester & feeling better than ever. Except for the occasional tired moments; I am doing wonderful. We are both getting really excited to find out the sex of the baby. Our guess is a boy. I don't know if it's just a gut feeling, or because everyone we know that is having a baby is having a boy. I have a doctors appointment coming up the 1st week in April so I'm sure we will set up an ultra sound the first week of May.
I'm still enjoying everything from running to playing volleyball. Which is always a nice feeling knowing that those days will soon come to an end. At least it's only for a short while (smile). I have a few more volleyball tournaments left in the month of April & then I will call it quits. We have our annual Cancer Society tournament on the 14th of April. I've participated in this for the last 3 years. Just a side note: This is the exact place that I met Chris...so this is a special tournament for the both of us. You always see the same people back each year & it's fun trying to place 1st.
Hopefully I will have some belly shots come the end of April. What I might do is wait till we receive an ultra sound picture & attach those along with belly shots. So check back in the beginning of May & see the beginnings of our baby girl or baby boy.
Hope all is well for everyone. We are enjoying the beginning days of Spring & can't wait for the 70 degree weather to stick around for more than one day at a time.

Week 13
No pictures quite yet...there isn't much there to show. I am very excited that I haven't started showing yet. Since we have twins in our family, there is that possibility that one of us could be blessed with a set of twins. I was thinking if I started showing early that we could be bringing in some twins. I guess the positive to having twins is you get it over a lot quicker than having to go through another long pregnancy. Since Chris & I would like to have 3 children, I would be happy at first. I would be fibbing if I said I wouldn't be petrified if I heard the news :-)
Well...I've been feeling MUCH better over the past week. Most of my nauseousness has subsided & I'm feeling great. I don't have a full appetite yet & I'm still struggling with exhaustion most days. I'm thinking it's because this time around I'm raising a child while being pregnant. And if you read my most recent blog on Aubrie, she has been anti afternoon naps for the past week. So I've been missing my afternoon nap. Usually if I get about an hour of sleep during the afternoon, that regenerates me to feel great for the rest of the day. If I don't get it, I go to bed around 8:30 or 9pm that evening. But overall I can't complain.
This time around I've made a point to really try & stay in shape. So both Chris & I went out & got a membership at our local Park District. I am happy that we are able to work in a time slot for both of us to get our workout for the week. I feel so much better after I'm done with that. I lost most all of my muscle the 1st time around. This is how bad it was. My 1st volleyball game back I went to serve over hand & it landed about 1/2 way in between the net & myself. YIKES!! For all of you that know me, I have never had a problem getting the ball over the net. That was such a huge disappointed too me. It took me a full year to get most of my muscle back. But with the help of a personal trainer to guide me, I am able to find machines that I can use during my whole pregnancy. So I'll let you know how the 1st day back to volleyball goes this time around (smile).
We won't be able to find out what we are having until the 20th week. Yes, we want to find out again. I don't see the need to wait personally. I give it up to the couples that are able to hold out though...it would drive me crazy. But that's just me. We have already come up with names for both a girl & boy. I will say that Chris & I have the same taste in names, & we find them so quickly. If it's a girl we are naming her Mckenzie Paige & if it's a boy we are naming him Desmond Ryan. If I could choose, I would go for a girl. But it's in the hands of God at this point. I'm excited to find out though.
Well, I might skip a couple weeks until things start showing. Cause I'm sure this is as uneventful for you as it is for me (he, he, he). I just figured that this would be a great diary for myself personally, and a good way to keep everyone updated in the family who can't be around to see our little baby grow.
Stay tuned!!!!

April

Introduction
Hello everyone! I was thinking the other day that it would be nice to have a journal of my pregnancy. I didn't do it the first time around, and now I'm wishing I did. Because there are a lot more things that I'm forgetting when I was pregnant with Aubrie. So feel free to check on this site for weekly updates of how things are going. I'm going to try and post a picture of my belly each week to see the process, as well as showing ultra sound pictures, & of course Aubrie experiencing seeing mommy's belly get really big (smile). Hope you guys enjoy.
